The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the representatives of the “Handikos” organization, on the occasion of the International Day of Wheelchair Users.
Madam President expressed her support for wheelchair users and said that Kosovo’s institutions are ready to support them not only on specific days but throughout the year.
As a sign of solidarity on the International Day of the Use of Wheelchairs, President Osmani sat in a wheelchair during the meeting thus conveying the message of inclusiveness of users and improvement of access as a basic human right and elimination of obstacles.
“Creating opportunities for free movement for you is our obligation. It is always possible to do more for these people. We have continuously supported the activities of the “Handikos” organization, but also of children and women with special needs. We are with you every day of the year and for equal opportunities for everyone,” pointed out President Osmani.
