At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, a joint discussion was held with professors of the Constitutional Department of the Faculty of Law of the University of Prishtina.
This joint discussion was made to mark Constitution Day.
On this occasion, President Osmani thanked the professors for the work they do every day in educating the new generations of jurists.
“The citizens need to hear you talk about aspects of the Constitution. Your professional opinion is important. Therefore, I have used the first week of my work to talk to you in order to affirm the importance of the Constitution and its implementation”, emphasized President Osmani.
Mrs. Osmani offered cooperation to the professors and at the same time emphasized that the door of the Presidency is open to consult them on important processes for the country.
The participants in the conversation thanked the President for the invitation, because according to them it is the first time that they are invited for such a conversation from the highest state level.
According to them, the process of the election of the President presents a model of the constitutional election of the country’s President.
In this context, they stressed that it is important for the Presidency to guarantee constitutional stability for all institutions.
At the same time, the professors have expressed full readiness for further cooperation with the President on topics related to the field of constitutional justice.
