“The people and institutions of Kosovo will remain forever grateful to the Republic of France for the crucial support that this country has and is still providing to Kosovo”, the President of Republic of Kosovo Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu affirmed during a meeting today with a delegation of the French-Kosovar Friendship Committee headed by Mr. Christian Menard, Member of Parliament of France and Chairperson of the Committee.
Reaffirming the French support for the aspirations of the people of Kosovo for freedom and independence, President Sejdiu underscored that France has provided a comprehensive support to Kosovo in education, culture, economy, and so on.
Further, President Sejdiu expressed his consideration for the French KFOR troops’ direct contribution to peace, stability and safety in Kosovo.
On his part, Mr. Menard highlighted the progress made in Kosovo since the declaration of independence, pointing out that Kosovo and the entire region share a clear European perspective.
