The Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo would like to inform the public that yesterday (November 2nd), following the recommendation of specialist doctors, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani underwent a minor surgical intervention (gallbladder removal), which was successfully performed.
Based on her assessment and will, for the duration of yesterday, President Osmani temporarily transferred the responsibilities of the President of the Republic to the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Glauk Konjufca.
From November 3rd onwards, the President will continue with the exercise of constitutional duties and obligations related to the position of the President of the Republic and will gradually return to public engagements.
During this period, we ask for the understanding of the media in respect of the fundamental right to privacy of the President, which is guaranteed by the constitution.
