The Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo Dr. Vjosa Osmani received today at a meeting the President of the Central Election Commission, Mrs. Valdete Daka. The preparations of the CEC for the organization of early elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo were discussed at the meeting, in lieu of the circumstances created by the notification of the verdict of the Constitutional Court.
Acting President Osmani also spoke to Mrs. Daka about the preliminary meetings she held with the political entities and said that she will set the date of the elections as soon as the verdict of the Constitutional Court enters into force and is delivered to all parties.
Acting President stressed the importance of immediate actions are taken in relation to the voting process of the citizens of the country who live outside the borders of our country. According to Acting President Osmani, our compatriots should be offered the opportunity to register to vote as soon as possible, in order for them to have sufficient time to cast their votes so they reach the CEC before the deadline.
