The Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Dr.Vjosa Osmani upon the proposal of the Ministry of Defense, based on the Law on the Grant of Decorations, praising the work and commitment in peacekeeping and support for the security component, awarded the Presidential Military Medal to former KFOR Commander Major General Michelle Risi.
On behalf of Major General Risi, the medal was received by KFOR Commander, Major General Franco Federici.
Acting President Osmani also handed over the same award to the former advisor, the bilateral military from the Republic of Italy for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Vincenzo Stella, which was received by Major General Federici on his behalf.
The Presidential Military Medal is a state decoration of Kosovo, which is awarded to local and foreign military, who contribute to the quality of military capabilities and defense of the country.
Present at the award ceremony of the Italian military were also the Minister of Defense, Anton Quni and the Commander of the KSF, Lieutenant General Rrahman Rama.
