At the commemorative event held on the 25th anniversary of the Kotlina Massacre, attended on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kosovo Mrs. Vjosa Osmani Sadriu by the military advisor, Brigadier General Sefer Isufi, who paid homage and placed flowers at the martyrs’ cemetery.
In his address to the audience on behalf of President Osmani, General Isufi said that on March 24th, 1999, the forces of the Serbian genocidal regime , killed and massacred 14 citizens in the village of Kotlina, while in defense of the population 11 KLA fighters were killed that day.
According to him, 25 years later, the call for justice is strong and continuous from the country’s freedom-loving and peace-loving institutions and citizens.
“Freedom and peace only make sense when perpetrators and those responsible are brought to justice! The massacre in Kotlina is our constant pain, historical memory and sacrifice for the freedom of the country”, stated General Isufi.
