President Thaçi traveled to Washington where he will sign the agreement between Kosovo and the MCC

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has traveled to Washington, United States of America, together with the National Coordinator for the Millennium Challenge in Kosovo, Petrit Selimi.

On Tuesday, on behalf of the Republic of Kosovo, President Thaçi will sign the agreement between Kosovo and the MCC, in the presence of many US congressmen and senators who have supported Kosovo for decades.

This agreement in the amount of  49 million US dollars will focus on two areas: the Rule of Law and Efficiency in Energy, through various projects and activities that will be implemented over 4 years.

This is this first ceremony in the history of the MCC, which signs such an agreement in the Congress.

Kosovo was pre-qualified for MCC programs in November 2015 with the aim of identifying possible areas of transformative investments for economic growth, poverty reduction and job creation in Kosovo.
