President Thaçi received the Director of the International Committee of the Red Cross for Europe

Prishtina, March 14 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the Director of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for Europe and Central Asia, Patrick Vial, accompanied by the Head of Mission of the ICRC in Kosovo, Agim Gashi.

At this meeting there was discussed about the possibility of deepening cooperation between the institutions of Kosovo and the International Red Cross.
 
President Thaçi emphasized that the role of the ICRC in different periods has been determinant for overcoming the challenges that the people of Kosovo had.
 
“I thank you for the support you have given to the people before and after the war in Kosovo”, said President Thaçi.
 
Also, at this meeting there was discussed about the issue of the missing persons.
 
President Thaçi has offered full support to the ICRC to clarify the fate of the missing persons from all communities.
 
On the other hand, the Director of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for Europe and Central Asia, Patrick Vial, thanked President Thaçi for the given support.
 
President Thaçi and the Director of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for Europe and Central Asia have also discussed about the initiative for the establishment of the Commission for Truth and Reconciliation, which has been welcomed by the families of the missing persons from all communities in Kosovo.
