Prishtina, October 20 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the Auditor General of Kosovo, Mr. Besnik Osmani, to whom he has offered support for the work and activities of the Auditor General.
President Thaçi said that the Auditor General with his work is strengthening the accountability by increasing the trust in the public institutions.
“I congratulate you on the dedication, professionalism and independence of your institution”, said the President.
On the other hand, Besnik Osmani has said that the National Audit Office will continue to carry out the mandatory regularity audit of the Kosovo Government budget as well as other audits.
The President has said that Kosovo must continue its utmost efforts for transparency.
