Prishtina, October 19 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today in a meeting the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mrs. Ekaterina Zaharieva.
President Thaçi expressed gratitude for the continued support that Bulgaria has given to Kosovo during the state building process and the membership into international organizations.
“Bulgaria is a strategic partner of Kosovo”, said President Thaçi, adding that “Bulgaria has consistently been a supporter of Kosovo on its Euro-Atlantic path”.
“We have built good bilateral relations. Now we need greater economic cooperation between the two countries”, stressed the President.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ekaterina Zaharieva said that Bulgaria supports all efforts for peace and stability in the region.
“We need to look towards the future in peace and cooperation”, she stated.
President Thaçi stated that Kosovo is grateful for the continued support of the state of Bulgaria.
