The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, close to the marking of the tenth anniversary of the independence, through the US Ambassador to Kosovo has received a letter of congratulations from US President, Donald Trump.

Dear Mr. President,
On behalf of the American people, I congratulate Kosovo on the tenth anniversary of its independence.
Over the past 10 years, Kosovo has made great strides in strengthening its sovereignty and multiethnic democracy. While more work must be done, we applaud your progress.
As your country enters its second decade of statehood, the United States is committed to helping Kosovo build on a strong foundation of shared democratic principles, regional cooperation, and the rule of law. In doing so, Kosovo will take further strides toward integration into the Western Community of Nations.
We look to Kosovo to be an important partner to the United States. On this historic occasion, I wish the people of Kosovo my best.
