President Thaçi: Our market should be filled with products “Made in Kosova”

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, attended today the local products fair and the economic forum “The 10th Anniversary of the Economic Independence of Kosovo”, organized by the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce.

President Thaçi said that we have gathered at a special moment, close to the marking of the 10th anniversary of the declaration of Kosovo’s independence and during these moments we should remember where we were and where we are today, but also where we aspire to reach.

“We remember the sufferings and destructions of the war. But we also remember our determination not to give up, to revive, to survive and to develop”, said President Thaçi.

About the local producers, President Thaçi has said that they have faced countless challenges but they have never surrendered, they have survived, and have developed.

“Today, Kosovo’s development, the successes of our first decade, are closely related to you”, said President Thaçi.

The Head of State added that in the first decade, our country has marked important steps for the consolidation of the statehood, both nationally and internationally.

“We have signed the SAA with the European Union and we have been invited by NATO for advanced cooperation. These two steps have been very important for our future and have put us strongly on track to join NATO and the EU”, said President Thaçi.

He said that Kosovo has continued to promote the dialogue within the country and in relation with our neighbors, becoming a peace exporter and contributing to regional stability and prosperity.

“Kosovo also marked great achievements on the international scene in the field of art, culture and sports”, stressed the Head of State, adding that “our successes and achievements are also result of the strong cooperation with our partners”.

President Thaçi added that they have worked jointly to build a platform for sustainable economic development and civic well-being, including all business community requirements.

“We have reached 10 years as a state and it is time for our state, our market, to be filled with products “Made in Kosova”, stressed President Thaçi.

He said that we should be proud of the achievements of Kosovo and the achievements of the producers so far.
