President Thaçi has appointed 21 state prosecutors

Prishtina, January 22 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, pursuant to the constitutional and legal powers, in accordance with the proposal of the Prosecutorial Council, has appointed today 21 new state prosecutors, in the Basic Prosecutions of Kosovo.

The appointed prosecutors have sworn in before President Thaçi, where they pledged to perform the duty of the prosecutor with honor, responsibility and impartiality.

The Head of State, congratulating the new prosecutors for the new office, has requested from them to carry out this task with high responsibility.

“I wish you success in the new responsibilities you received. You have to fulfill your obligations in accordance with the laws and the Constitution of Kosovo”, adding further that “The consolidation of the rule of law must be the main priority. In this regard, you have my full support”, said President Thaçi.

He said that when we are close to the marking of the 10th anniversary of the independence of the country, we need greater commitment to the strengthening of the rule of law.

“Now, when we are close to the marking of the 10th anniversary of the independence, we need greater commitment to the strengthening of the rule of law by providing a strong, legal, equal state for all citizens”, said President Thaçi.
