Prishtina, October 06, 2017 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), led by Pierre Heilbronn, Vice President of Policy and Partnerships.
“I thank Vice President Heilbronn for the important support that the EBRD has given to Kosovo over the years, with investments in over 50 projects that exceed the value of 200 million euros”, said President Thaçi.
The EBRD Vice President of Policy and Partnership, Pierre Heilbronn, stressed that the EBRD will focus on supporting the private sector, the energy efficiency sector, road infrastructure and transport, improving regional linkages in the Western Balkans, consolidating small and medium enterprises, unemployment – especially women in business.
At the meeting there was also discussed about the revision of the EBRD Energy Strategy in the coming year.
President Thaçi reiterated that the EBRD will have his unreserved support as the President of the country.
